Home Cookin' in Afghanistan?

Believe it or not, TSgt Bambarger was able to concoct the following using only a microwave and ingredients ordered off the internet.  Notably, it was damn good!
The dark chocolate, almond butter, raw almond and walnut bark was phenomenal and of course Paleo certified!

The Oreo Cookie Taste Test

As you are probably already aware, there isn't much to do here when we're not working.  As a result a debate as to the best Oreo ever made by Nabisco occurred between CPT Allen (US Army) and LCDR (sel) Corrigan (US Navy).  In an effort to de-escalate hostilities (there were none), TSgt Bambarger (US Air Force) ordered in 26 different flavors of Oreos (only a couple were unavailable).

After the taste test, Original Oreos won the "Chocolate" category, Birthday Cake Oreos won the "Vanilla" category and the fudge covered Original Oreos won the Fudge category.

This is how the remaining Oreos filled a refrigerator after the taste test!

Touch of [Color to the ] Grey

One day while walking to work I observed the following bits of color in what has been an otherwise bland existence here in Afghanistan.  If things aren't painted tan or grey, they consist of camouflage...so you can imagine my surprise when I saw the following:

As you can see, the normal sight is rocks on the ground.  What is NOT surprising is that these "flowers" (if that's what you want to call them) were growing underneath the toilet and shower facilities.

Many of you may notice that this is a re-post due to the accidental deletion of the original.
